Some days I sleep with angels
Where refuge can be found
I creep into their dwelling,
careful
not to make a sound.

|
|
I tune out all the clamour
and
troubles of my life;
I seek a
quiet respite
from
thinking of my plight.
|
|
|
|
I try to be un-noticed
so no one knows I'm there.
I want no interaction -
I've nothing more to share.

|
|
Lingering in silence
I make my shadow small
So please try not to see me
or speak to me at all.

|
|
|

|
My heart is battle weary;
I
have so little breath.
I'm sad and I'm deflated
All I want is rest.

|
|
Dear angels, look upon me
while I am fast asleep.
I beg you, sneak into me
a breath of life
to keep.

Tho sleep is but a shaddow
of death, 'tis peace divine!
If I cannot depart this earth
then sleep, I will be Thine.
