The Child is Mine

The child within is peeking
She hides behind the pale.
Protected by the shadows,
She found her Holy Graille.

A buffer from the monsters
Who would consume her soul,
She shrinks behind dimensions
Until she can be whole.

Courageous and defiant,
She's safe in her own zone.
The dark side of the moon is where
She found herself a home.

She's watching and she's waiting;
She will return one day.
When danger is removed, she says
She will come out to play.

So see -- I did not lose her!
She's happy and she's fine.
You couldn't take her from me ...
This little girl is mine.
