As I look back over the half-century which has been my life, I see how the puzzle pieces fit together according to a divine plan which was co-authored by myself and the Creator. It was about half-way through my journey that I learned this profound fact: our life scenarios were not arbitrary! This may not agree with you, but it is still the fact. Before we were born, an outline of our life was carefully prepared so that we could have many experiences, learn certain "lessons" and grow spiritually. Whether we embraced those experiences and/or lessons, was dictated by our own will. No matter how much divine intervention we have received throughout our lives, the chief governing principle has been our freedom to choose.
I chose many paths, many adventures, and many heartaches in order to learn all I could in this lifetime. I give my heartfelt thanks to each and every person who has been a part of my life, for without YOU, I could not have become ME. I'm happy to say that I did embrace what was designed for me, and I have full confidence that I will not have to repeat these same scenarios. What did I learn?
1. LOVE - the true essence of our Creator - is expressed in so many ways. Some of those ways take us through Hell and back, but we are eternally enriched by the experience. When we have tasted this higher source of LOVE, we are compelled to share it with our fellow man. We help others with the help which we have been given.
2. We are, every single one of us, vitally connected to one another in the spiritual sense. Therefore, when you hurt, I hurt. Your choices affect me in a very real way. Your virtue is my virtue. Your accomplishments are my accomplishments. And vice versa.
3. When this life comes to an end, we will shed these pajamas which we call a body, and return as a mass of energy, our spiritual self, to that place in the spirit realm which corresponds to our spiritual (consciousness) maturity. We will reunite with our peers and receive a warm, joyous homecoming! We will be welcomed wholeheartedly and know that we are HOME.
4. Those who have passed before us, especially our loved ones and close friends, are at this moment, watching and learning, and cheering us on to grow and enrich ourselves by embracing the circumstances provided for us. It's a no-lose situation - just by having lived a human life, we will have learned and gained some measure of growth.
5. A new world is coming! The birth of this new world depends on the evolution and growth of mass consciousness; that is, the spiritual awareness of human beings who inhabit this planet. Many of the children born before and during the millennium are exceptionally gifted, and they will be integral to the development of this new world. This is why you see 7-year olds speaking to the House of Congress, and you see 3-year olds excelling in many areas. They are our future, and we must nurture them with the best care we are able to provide.
6. What about those who do NOT embrace the lessons, and those who do harm to others? They will still learn - and we will share their gain. I believe the greatest pain we will ever experience is the pain we have caused others. This will take place during our "review" from the other side. There is NO BLAME, NO CONDEMNATION, NO JUDGEMENT. There is only review with our Creator and our Spirit Guides (or "Guardian Angels"), and there is no escaping the truth. There are no "gray areas" ... we will see clearly the consequences of our choices, and where learning did or did not take place. And we will be cleansed from all negativity, we will rest and enjoy our dwelling place with our peers, and at some point we will be offered another opportunity to enroll in an incarnated body to learn some more.
7. What is the ultimate purpose of all this learning? I believe that as we learn, our spiritual being contains a greater intensity of LIGHT, which comes from the Creator. In essence, we share a greater degree of the energy, essence, substance which IS the Creator, and the point from which we originated. Ultimately, as we all mature, we merge into the one being and become HIM in totality ... back to our beginning. This is his plan, and should he choose to alter the situation at any point, we are in tune with his desires. His wishes are our wishes, even though we retain our individual personalities. Our personality is just a tiny fragment of the whole, which expresses all the manifestations of "The One" - "All That Is" whom I choose to refer to as our Creator.
Since all our experiences are aimed at learning, how can we go wrong? At the end of the road we will all benefit from one another's "schooling" and realize without a doubt, that
